I joined the Livingston FlexTech High school faculty during our inaugural year in 2011 after spending 10 years at KWoods as a science, math, social studies, and special education teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science and Geography, and my Secondary Education Teaching Certification from Eastern Michigan University. I have also completed Master Level endorsements in special education, specifically Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I love the wonderful opportunities that project based learning brings into the classroom. I currently oversee the special education services at both the Brighton and Novi campuses.
In my personal life, I live in Brighton and am a parent of 7 adults. I also have 2 granddaughter, whom I adore! I love to spend my free time reading, quilting, designing and tending to my outdoor gardens, crocheting, knitting, painting, and beading. I also love to share these skills with the students and help them discover the value of creativity in the project based environment."
