This is No April Fools
School is back in session tomorrow! We hope you had a great spring break with time for family, friends, and relaxation. As we return to school, the last quarter of the school year promises to be action-packed with fun events and lots of project-based challenges for our students.
Prepare for Testing
As we get ready for state testing week, we know that this can be a stressful time for students. Help your students feel rested and prepared by getting a good night's sleep (8 hours) and eating a protein-rich breakfast. If your student is feeling stressed, practice stress reducing techniques like breathing exercises and talk about how they can manage their time on the test. You can learn more about the length of state required tests here. While, students should always try their best on tests make sure they know that their worth never depends on a test score. Read more about how to support students with test anxiety here.
Check out this Feature on Project Showcase
We're thrilled with how this Video Feature on Project Showcase turned out. In collaboration with Oakland FlexTech, this video highlights why project-based learning is such a valuable experience for our students.

Update on 8th Grade Expansion: On pause until 2024
Thank you to all of the families who expressed interest in an 8th grade option for their middle school students.
