We are currently scheduling all students for next year. As you discuss scheduling with your student, keep in mind the unique opportunities available to FlexTech students. These opportunities are available to all FlexTech students:
- Career and Technical Education classes. Through the Livingston Education Service Agency (LESA), FlexTech students can avail themselves of programs like nursing, building trades, EMT, graphic design, agribusiness, aviation, robotics and many other career fields.
- Internships. Many FlexTech students spend part of their junior and senior years with a local business that will help to acclimate an introduce students to a particular career. Internships can be made in any career area and these positions my be voluntary or may be paid. Internships often lead to full time employment after graduation.
- College Courses. FlexTech students may take classes at Washtenaw Community College, Lansing Community College (Howell) or Cleary University. A number of different courses are available at each institution at little or no cost.
All FlexTech students can graduate with a high school diploma, PLUS college credit or career experience through an internship or a series of classes. Speak with Mr. Cotton about these opportunities.
