Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin visited Mr. Jones’ Civics class on October 19th to discuss elections, campaigning, and what leadership looks like. She spoke with students for about one hour, answered questions, and got to know a little bit about our school. Congresswoman Slotkin's insight and experience acted as a great real-world connection to our Rock The Vote ‘22 project. Students are about to participate in their primary election for school president on October 20th, and the general election on November 8th. Students who are participating in the election process will be able to use what they learned as they complete the project in Civics class.
