COVID-19 Updates

As much as we would like to put this pandemic in the rear-view mirror, the virus is still spreading in our local community. Per data from MDHHS and the CDC, we are still seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases in Livingston County. The Livingston County Medical Director has attributed this to the transmission rates of the delta variant and the reduced use of masking in the community.

As a school, we will continue to work with the Livingston County Health Department to reduce the spread of the virus and to keep our community safe.  We will continue to:
- Communicate home when there is a classroom exposure
- Coordinate with LCHD to conduct contact tracing and resulting quarantines of unvaccinated individuals.
- Update case data on our website under MDE required reporting.

We will also continue to message the strong recommendations of the Livingston County Health Department:
- Masking is strongly recommended for all individuals regardless of vaccination status
- Vaccines are strongly recommended for all individuals ages 12 and older
- Students or staff experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms should stay home from school and get tested for COVID-19.
