FlexTech Brighton will be joining MAPSA tomorrow for a press conference outside the Governor’s Detroit office to send Lansing a message that it is not okay to use charter school students as pawns in any political agenda.
If you would like to join us, we will be meeting in the FlexTech Parking Lot by 3PM to drive to:
- Where: University Prep Art & Design, 485 W. Milwaukee, Detroit, MI 48202
- Push the call button for campus security to say you are here for the MAPSA event and they will let you in the permit parking only lot.Parking: 204 W Baltimore Ave, Detroit, MI 48202
- We will plan to walk around the block to the Governor’s Detroit office together at 3:45 PM. From there we will stand outside in front of her office in the city of Detroit to deliver one message: “No deal is a good deal when students lose!”
- This event will happen rain or shine, so bring umbrellas if needed. We will be outside the entire time. (The current forecast is rain, so please plan accordingly)
While we are promoting and supporting this event as a school, this event is not taking place during school hours, and the school will not be directly providing transportation to students or parents. Students and parents are encouraged to join the caravan to the event.
