Advisory
Greetings!
In Advisory we will monitor academic progress through weekly goal setting, Google Classroom checks, and one on one check ins. We will also be using Project Wayfinder to grow our sense of belonging and character development and participating in activities that are reflective and focus on mindfulness.
One goal of of Advisory is to provide your student with a community within the community. Advisory provides them with a "go to" staff member that will help them to navigate their time here at FlexTech. I am excited to get to know and support your student this year!

STEM 3
Greetings! STEM 3 is a Semester long class. Students will be completing projects focused on:
- Conservation of Energy
- Potential & Kinetic Energy
- Electricity & Light Circuits
- Newtons Laws of Motion
- Forces & Momentum
- Measurements & Units & Scientific Notation
I am looking to create a community connection with any local scientists or fields related to Physics. If you know of anyone that would like to partner with our class please email me at [email protected]
Students are expected to complete the weekly assignments on time in order to stay on track to complete this course on time.
Every Friday students can come to FlexTech for in person help from 9-12.

Engineering & Design
Greetings! Engineering & Design is a Semester long class.
Students will be focusing on using the Design Thinking Process to complete engineering tasks.
This class focuses on students completing projects that drive creativity; problem solving; data analysis; prototype creation; and team work. If there are any national competitions we may enter into them. This class is designed to allow student interests to drive our engineering endeavors.
We will also be teaming up with ARC in Howell. We will be working with this community partner to provide a real world engineering/coding connection.

STEM LAB
Greetings! STEM LAB is designed to provide the space, time and teacher to assist students that is taking an online STEM course.
Students will be completing these courses online for various reasons.
The expectations for this block are:
- Student & Teacher will monitor weekly assignments.
- Student & Teacher will track completed work and next steps.
- Student will use this dedicated time to complete the STEM Online class on time.
If a student falls one week behind in their assignments; the parent/guardian will be notified. The student will be asked to come in on Friday's from 9-12 until they get caught up.
