University Of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Masters of Social Work
Michigan State University
Bachelor of Arts, Psychology

I joined FlexTech High School in September 2015 after making a career change to school social work. I spent the beginning of my career working in Detroit’s Eastern Market as a clinical therapist with vulnerable populations. After leaving that position, I returned to school for post graduate certificates in School Social Work from Michigan State as well as Sexual Health with a focus on LGBTQ+ youth and gender identity from the University of Michigan.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at FlexTech and the unique opportunity it offers students to grow and use real world applications. I’m available to all students facing academic and emotional challenges, and my office door is always open.

I grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and currently reside in Commerce Township with my two dogs, Lucy and Bernice. When I’m not working I enjoy traveling, going to concerts and Michigan State basketball.
InCollege Day- Pre Covid-19 addition to meeting with students about social and emotional needs, I also serve as FlexTech's 504 coordinator and McKinney Vento Liaison. It is not uncommon for students to stop into my office just to say hi, for a quick chat or for academic and/or emotional support. If you would like to reach out to me, below are some of the services that I provide to the FlexTech Community.

  • Assessing your student’s overall well-being, including any potential mental health needs.

  • Identifying barriers that may be hindering your student’s education and/or connecting you and your family with community resources.

  • Psycho-education for parents and teachers.

  • Assisting students with academic struggles such as organizational strategies, time management and improving self-advocacy.
