Meet Mr. Quiambao

Science Department Chair, MakerSpace, First Year Academy

Hi Everyone! I have been working at FlexTech Brighton since Year 1, Day 1. Working at FlexTech has provided me the opportunity to work with students in a unique and meaningful way! I love getting to know each and every student at our school and helping them integrate their interests and passions with their projects and life decisions. 

 

I grew up in Canton, Michigan and have never lived outside of Southeast Michigan. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, then went back for an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction to become a high school science teacher. Working with youth is a hobby that turned into a passion that led me to my career as a teacher. Every job I have had since high school has involved working with kids.

 

I like playing video games, cooking without recipes, learning about how things work, figuring out how to make cool things, and tinkering with technology. I get to bring these interests to FlexTech by working in the MakerSpace where I can help students create cool projects using our laser cutter, 3D printer, vinyl cutter, and poster printer.
